A2 Licence – Aged 19 and above This licence can only be taken when you are at least 19 years old or two years after passing your A1 Licence. The test and training is taken on a bike of a minimum of 395cc that produces an engine power between 33bhp and 46.6bhp. On passing your test, you can ride up to a 47bhp or buy a larger bike but the power MUST be capped at 35kW (47bhp) - As long as the bike is not restricted to less than half its original power.  To ride a larger capacity motorcycle you will need to take an A Licence, which can be taken 2 years after passing your A2 Licence. Before starting your training you will be required to have passed your Motorcycle Theory Test. 1st Gear can book this for you as part of your course – we loan you a disc to practice the theory test. You will be required to train for your Module 1 and Module 2 Tests. The Module 1 training will be conducted at our safe off road Training Centre. If you look on our video page you will see Module 1 Training and a Test being conducted.

Module 2 Training will be conducted in the local area of Farnborough, Fleet, Aldershot and Farnham. On completion of your Training you will take your tests at the local Farnborough Test Centre, which is located ONLY 4 MINUTES FROM OUR TRAINING CENTRE!! On passing the tests you will be able to remove your L Plates and carry a pillion passenger. These are some of the bikes available when you pass your A2 Licence!
