current elliott leather motorcycle jacket

Yesterday we took you inside Emily Current's Los Angeles pad - the former half in CURRENT/ELLIOTT. But as we learned, what would Current be without Elliott (and vice versa)? So, today, we ventured to Meritt Elliott's home and closet and played dress up.... with the help of a few naked Barbie and Ken dolls (in some killer gems nonetheless). As one half of power styling duo MAUDE and the latter half in our favorite denim line CURRENT/ELLIOTT, we had a feeling that the insides of Meritt's closet wouldn't disappoint - and it didn't. Spearheading the "boyfriend jean" craze, these two met each other while attending school in California and realized their penchant (and innate skill) to make girls look powerful and beautiful in boundary-pushing clothes. Just check the pages of NYLON Magazine and the style of Mary Kate Olsen and Reese Witherspoon for reference. We share a joint love for Vanessa Bruno (Meritt's home is walking distance from her LA shop) and have a mutual love for killer motorcycle jackets.

As a denim aficionado, she's obsessed with proportion and washes - as evident by her towering collection of vintage blues (ask her and she will tell you - "Denim is my second skin"). Her collection of Repetto's (she has these flats in every color) and vintage slips from The Rose Bowl Flea are only complimented by her anecdotes around her house inspired by her 5 year old daughter Lyric, who acts as Meritt's muse – and it’s no surprise she’s a mini fashionista… her mom has been heralded as a top influential stylist. But behind her YSL bags and Chloe pumps, we spotted an erinkleineberg navy top that Meritt rocked during last years FNO – much to our delight. Her chilled-out LA pad mixed with her beautiful treasures made for one picturesque Cali afternoon. From our world to yours, take a peek inside Meritt Elliott’s fashionable den. What is it like growing up in the fashion industry?
motorcycle parts bellingham waA lifetime of Fashion Week front rows, strutting the catwalk and red carpets and eventually designing her own collections made Hilton a connoisseur of clothing. Having never employed a stylist, Hilton climbed her way up the best-dressed lists all on her own, trusting her own sartorial moxie to get her there. Now Hilton passes her secrets along in the form of a new book called 365 Style, which details her special formula for developing a signature style. Hilton visited our Bellevue Square store on November 14 to give fans the inside scoop on her new book and answer a few of our burning questions. Here she gives us a crash course in personal style, including her five must-have items of the moment. Street Report: Jenka at Marios Schwab Talk about tough-girl style! Jenka’s look is part Fashion Week chic, part motorcycle rebel.

Her fuzzy jumper softens up her leather look, and I like the creative proportion of her pieces. I wanted to steal Jenka’s oversize moto vest for my own, as well as those gorgeous pony hair wedge booties. Alas, I restrained myself and just added a few more items to my shopping list! Saint Laurent Moto Vest | Steve Madden Bootie | Street Report: Katerina at Rodarte Katerina is the epitome of New York cool with more than a dash of punk-rock edge. There is just something indefinably rebellious about a leather jacket. I love the studs and zipper details on Katerina’s classic leather moto. Perhaps a bedazzling session is in my future! Today’s look has a punky schoolgirl edge, thanks to her heavy boots and black-and-red palette. Black Buckle Booties | Jeffrey Campbell ‘Coltrane’ Bootie | The Kooples Flannel Shirt | Street Report: Eva Outside Topshop Unique Eva cracked me up when she told me she was worried she looked like a Christmas tree in her glittering crew and green leather skinnies. The London-based, Norwegian-born blogger (Wigertstil) says she usually prefers rock n’ roll looks, but has found inspiration in her grandmother’s style. Eva says she’s a bit of a chameleon, and can’t wait to try some cowgirl looks next!
