gaerne motorcycle riding boots

Connor Devine (Amherst ) My first pair of >$100 MX boots. I'll never go back. These have saved my ankle from being crushed already. Well worth the investment to keep your feet/legs safe. Feels like they will work well with knee/shin guards that I plan on using eventually. Water resistant to splashes so far. Very well made boot I was impressed with the quality and look of the boots. Unlike others, I did not have an issue with the fit of my foot. The only downside I encountered with the boot is a pressure point where the second buckle sinches on my right ankle. Riding is not a problem, they are very comfortable. I do develop discomfort when having to walk. I have played with the tightness of the buckles to try and relieve the pressure point with limited success. This is my first pair of riding boots so I am not sure if this is a "common" issue. Other than that, I do like the boot feel while riding. TC (Salt Lake City ) Not the most comfortable boot They run about 1/2-1 size large.

No hinge a ankle therefore the boots are not very comfortable. Look nice and are very durable. If you get a good deal, they are a good value. Bought for my 7 year old son. Easy to clean, bright yellow stays yellow and simple to buckle. We have had a few weeks now and so far no problems. I would say these are true to size. I ordered bigger than his usual size for growth room. Yes, I would recommend to a friend. Really I do like the boots. These were a size 40 and had them stretched for a week at the boot maker. I ordered a 9.5 which was orig a size 41. instead I got a 40 9.0. Sometimes it just gets too complicated. They actually stretched out OK and they were snug enough at the top. The other 4 pair of boots that I ordered in basically my size looked like I was wearing men's golf shoes in the upper front. I also like the heel Because it was not to tall a heel. It has just enough curve to hang your boot heel on the peg but still easy to walk in. I just wanted a newer pair to trade off with.

These also had a tab at the top of the zipper to protect from hitting your bike with the zipper tab . The old ones didn't. Very comfortable & wet I ride a R1200GS ADV. Wore these boots on trip to Alaska. Extremely comfortable and easy to walk in. Unfortunately they are NOT waterproof. Had discussion with Gaerne and they promptly exchanged for new pair. Very good customer service. Put a bead of silicone on top of stitching from front to arch. Road to eastern Canada. Less leaking, but still damp feet, particularly on left foot. Electric socks saved the day. Now riding in Sidi Adventure boots and no problems to date.Gaerne has been producing some of the highest-quality motorcycle footwear in the industry for over 45 years. Gaerne began making motorcycle boots in Italy and still manufacture their entire product line there, staying true to the concept of old fashioned quality, uninterested in setting up factories in Third World countries simply to cut costs. Well made and comfortable. These are good quality boots for the price. They are very snug and take time to break in. You may benefit from going up a size if you intend to wear thick socks in cold weather.I have a 9.5" wide foot and these boots fit well and look great. I worn in some rainy weather and kept my feet dry. This is my second Gaerne boots.I've had my share of motorcycle boots and this one is by far the better one. Would buy again in heart beat, very comfortable, keep feet dry in creek crossings. I bought these for my friend Billy.
