The toy and general nerd-swag manufacturer NECA is commemorating Halo's triumphant entrance to the Xbox One generation with the Master Chief Collection by making a custom motorcycle helmet:The good news? You won't have to rely on cardboard cutouts and lurking outside your local Wal-Mart to snag a spot on one of the kiddie rides to pretend that you're humanity's most powerful cybernetically-enhanced supersoldier anymore. The bad news, however, is that NECA said that the thing is still in a modeling phase and won't be done until 2015.But hey, look on the bright side: at least that gives you time to finish tricking out your hog to look like one of those awesome Ghost hovercraft-type things, right?

Renowned toy-maker NECA is getting into the headgear game with a street-legal design based on Halo's main man, Master Chief. The helmet features front air intakes to prevent fogging and rear exhaust vents to keep your head cool and comfy while driving your Warthog into walls. Plus there's a reflective shield with UV protection and removable top and cheek pads. And don't worry, you'll be able to fit your Coke-bottle specs under there. NECA teased the Halo helmet all the way back in June with concept images, leaving plenty of time for fans to save up for a new hog. The fresh images are still marked "not final" and there's no price just yet, but Master Chief is definitely starting to take form. The Halo helmet is due to hit stores in July, fully approved by the Department of Transportation in the United States (approval from the Covenant Empire is still pending, however).
