Would you like to tell us about a lower price? Wish There Were More Sizes! We replaced the stock Dunlops on a Honda Shadow Sabre. It drastically improved the ride & handling of this bike. We've only had them less than a month, so can't comment on wet traction or tread life yet. The only downside is I can't find the right sizes to order a matching set of Commander IIs for my Vaquero.
The best tire for the money. Second set on my Ultra Limited. Got over 23,000 on 1st set & still had 2/32 on rear tire. Great tire for cost & best ride.... BEST TIRE I EVER HAD OVER 12000 MI ON REAR,HANDLES GREAT. (WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, NY) 2012 1300 T V STAR I GOT 15000 OUT OF THE REAR DID NOT BABY IT JUST TO SEE HOW LONG IT LAST.I WENT ON AND REPLASED BOUTH ON THE NEW FROUNT AND REAR I AM GOING TO TAKE CARE OF THEM THIS TIME AND SEE HOW LONG THEY LAST....I have been to the smoky mountains two times and I ride to work and ride with my buddy's. The Commander II is in my opinion the best tire out there. I have 150k on an 07 Harley-Davidson Road King and put on my 6th rear and 4th front. 21k out front on a 130-16 & 18k out back on a 140-16. I was an Avon Venom X fiend for years until I was "forced" to install 1 on the road going to DC, and haven't looked back since! got 1400 miles out of my first commander ll just bought my second I'll be a lifetime customer of this tire
11K on rear tire I bought this tire on 6/16/2014 for the rear of my 2011 Victory XC. I rode it today and noticed it is a bit on the bald side. Looks like I will buying a new tire. Buddy is trying to talk me into the Meztler 888 for the rear. kawasaki motorcycles st louis moI have 11,287 miles on this Michelin tire and love the way it sticks to the street. craigslist motorcycles sale albany nyI ride hard so this tire gets a beating. cheap motorbikes for sale ipswichMight stick with the Michelin.motorcycle dealers near wausau wi I've been happy with the performance of my tires.
Of the tires I've tried a Dunlop 402, and a Metzler 880. I like the handling of this tire the best. Best tire I've tried After some really bad luck with 2 Metzeler 888 rear tires that cracked after about 1,000 miles on each. I switched to this tire. It is a lot smoother ride and seems to hold the road way better in the corners. I know everyone says that. But really this time it's true. The Metzeler 888 rear tires are just to hard of a compound and slip on the slightest of moisture on the asphalt. A little scary on a corner. When the rear slips out a foot then grabs it scars you pretty good. I give this tire 5 stars on everything. But I did on the Metzeler 888 also, wish they had been a better tire after all the money I spent on them. Metzler did return my money on each tire after a two month wait on each tire. Ride free, feel the wind, breath fresh air, be safe. I read plenty of other reviews on the Michelin commander tires prior to purchasing a pair for myself.. I must say that I've never riden on a pair of tires that handle any better then these..
I cannot testify to the longevity of the tread life as I've only had these for a couple of months..as far as wet roads and every other situation you couldn't ask for a better tire.. definitely be purchasing more! Best rear tire yet for my Stratoliner. Using a Commander II on the back and Avon Cobra on the front since Michelin does not make the size needed for the front. Good tread life but not as quite good as some have stated, on the Strat. Could be my throttle grip..... Just put on my second set of Commander II... absolutely love these tires. Got almost 20K of hard, MC riding on them, both around town and long-haul. Never miss a beat... dry, wet, highway... whatever! Only tires I'll put on my Ultra Limited. Forget the marked up HD stock tires... I just bought my third set of Commander II's for my Harley Dresser. I won't buy another tire. The Commanders are less then the Dunlops and last longer. For the guy who had the Yamaha who only got 10k on the tires, it is the engineering on your bike that is causing the shorten life.
I have seen the same thing for Kawasaki's as well. If you have a Harley there isn't another tire that stands up to the Commander's considering everything. Great Tires and the best price i have found anywhere I bought the rear tire first and had it put on and rode it for about 100 miles and it felt so good that I bought the front tire. My bike has not felt that way for a long time. Good stability good cornering that stick to the road. I will continue to buy this tire again. As to tread life I have put on 1500 miles on them and they do not show any ware on them. Thanks Michelin for the making great tire. Thanks to Motorcycle Superstore for great service and shipping for this tire.
