The black and silver Manx Norton motorcycle was stolen from Pelham Place on Monday (January 2) between 11....30am and 1pm. PCSO Daryl Holter, Heritage Crime Officer said: "The motorcycle has a value of £22,000 and it is a very rare collectable vintage machine in immaculate condition. This particular make and model of motorcycle is steeped in British motorcycle racing heritage; understandably the owner is incredibly upset.” Anyone with information around this theft is asked to report online here quoting reference 456 of 02/01. The photo shows a similar Manx Norton to the one that was stolen. unbeam Motor Cycle ClubHelp Save UK Motorsport : Following the landmark ‘Vnuk’ case, the European Court of Justice has ruled that national laws must be changed to ensure that all mec...hanically propelled vehicles are insured for third-party losses regardless of type of use, in all places, at any time. This applies to everything from Formula One racing cars, to mobility scooters, to antique trams and everything in-between (obviously includes all forms of motorcycle sport). The UK Government opened a consultation, which closes on 31st March 2017. ave a good Christmas and ride safe :DAshford Classic Motorcycle Show shared a post.'fun' in the desert.....Eventually we got out of Uyuni and headed on down to Tupiza. The route we chose was an "unsurfaced secondary road" 😜. We were warned not once but many times by ...various people who attempted it. When they said deep soft sand and boulders they were not exaggerating! Right from the outskirts of Uyuni it started and progressively got worse....much worse. After 9 hours riding we only made it half way to Tupiza. Progress was obviously slow and quite painful 😶. It wiped out a few times. First time as the bike lay on its side we noticed the fuel was running out. We had to unpack the luggage at a speed and pick the bike up out of the sand. The seal was bust. The second time the same thing. The third time the same thing but this time we bent the rear brake lever and broke our pannier AND Spencer got his leg twisted under the bike. Man I've never seen anything like it, I was convinced it was broken. Act

ually there was a funny moment too. When Spencer was laying on the floor in agony and I was positioning the bike, I pressed the hooter by mistake. We both jumped out our skins and Spencer must have levitated about five feet. We were in hysterics after that..... and once again stuck in the desert!! We had ample water this time and a couple of people stopped to ask if we needed more. We continued riding to Atocha (yes Spencer is stubborn). We stayed the night in a Hostal where I had a rat run over me 😣. I was so tired I opened an eye and just went back to sleep. It only hit me the next morning what had actually happened. Time to move on 😜. The whole village (and the puppies 😁) got together to help. Once again love these people! So as it stands our bike is with a mechanic and living at the Hostal for now. A guy kindly drove us back to Uyuni. Happy to be alive 😶. Spencer went to the hospital. Nothing broken but he's knocked his kneecap out. Think we will be here for a few more days! 😁 Ashfo

rd Classic Motorcycle Show shared a post.More news from our intrepid adventurers Spencer and Cathy !Stuck in Uyuni 😜. We have been here for 17 days waiting for DHL UK! I shall tell you how it works. You pay them to deliver a parcel to an address in Bolivia. Th...ey dr to an address 541km away and then tell you it has nothing to do with them. Mmmm sounds perfectly normal to me 😶. But with the help of Lewis a local chap and 690 Bolivianas (for DHL, an extra cost they forgot to mention) we may get our goods by next week Wednesday if we are lucky. I mean what do you do in a desert for this amount of time? We have been to the Salar numerous times I almost feel like a local attraction. I've visited the train cemetery so often I have now become the backpackers local photographer. We know all the locals we are greeting them by first names and this includes their pets. When I sit on a bench a dog appears on my lap, walk into a shop and a cat wraps itself around my arm. Don't get me wrong I'm loving it. These Boli

vians are just wonderful! I've also been people watching. They are so chilled, quiet, friendly, kind, family orientated and huge animal lovers. They make us lot look like a bunch of savages back home. Who said we were first world? And the food has been great, I'm putting on the pounds. Good old fashioned pap n vleis smothered with chakalaka 😁. For the non South Africans that is maize porridge, meat and a spicy sauce to go with it. As for Spencer, he stands out like a clock tower lol. Not surprisingly he has become the tourist information person the constant stream of backpackers go to. Then yesterday as he was drawn to the smell of steak barbecuing he caught a chap pick pocketing a family of Chinese tourists. He is now the local hero 😂. Well that's enough moaning for the day. I need to go clean my Hostal room and do the laundry and take the pooches for a walk hahaha. I need to get out of here!
