Returning and buying a real tool. great quality product - ground off rivet top on my 525 chain and the tool pushed the rivet out easy - had the new chain on and rivets rivets pressed in no time The right price and it did the job on a DID 520ERV3 chain. Grind off the rivet head with a dremel and make sure the push pin stays straight to prevent breakage. I ordered the schmancy gold DID X chain, and this tool. Saved $200 buying this tool and doing it myself.I dremeled off the rivit. I double checked everything as I went. I even measured the distance across the new link. Right on the money. Not hard at all. Kind of fun, actually. The old Interceptor looks years newer. Chain breaker broke the pin snapped when I was trying to press on the new master link. The breaker is made out of poor quality material I really like this product, the only issue I had is the anvil broke while I was following the instructions for a 520 chain.

During the first rivet the anvil cracked. The minor issue was fixed extremely fast and with no hassle. I would recommend to anyone. The pin that pushes out the link doesn't fit tightly in its housing causing excess movement. Everything was fine until I started to feel it get snug as the pin began to push, and then snap. The pin slipped off the link and snapped. Not worth the money, buy a hammer and punch. Works great breaking chains and pressing side plates on. I used it to press on side plates for 420 and 428 chain, but I had to elongate the holes on the two-hole push piece with a die grinder first, so be aware. It is made for 520 and larger chain. Good Deal, Works Well Can't complain about the price. Tool works great but you may need a hand held electric grinder to get started. The yoke is very substantial. Like another reviewer, I would suggest getting another extraction pin as this one seemed delicate and shows some wear after my single extraction even after I ground the old rivet head off - that would be the one star off on "Durability". The instructions are a little weak - that's the other star off of "Features". Product worked great, broke the breaker pin the first time I used it but it did the job before it snapped. The press and riveter did exactly what I needed. Be careful with the pins and you wont snap them, pay attention to what you are doing. Nice tool but I broke 2 pins. The first was probably my fault with poor alignment but the second time it broke in the middle of the process. I think this is a weak part of the part.
