PUNE: Motorcycle-maker Royal Enfield on Friday introduced three new colour options for its Classic 350 model line. The new paint variants, inspired by 1950s era UK-built motorcycles, are named Redditch Red, Redditch Green and Redditch Blue. According to the company, "In the 1950s, Royal Enfield motorcycles were manufactured in its pre-world war era factories in Redditch, a needle-making town located fifteen miles south of Birmingham in UK. The Royal Enfield Classic introduced in 2008 is designed on the lines of the J2 and it is a tribute to the retro look of British motorcycles in the post-World War II era." The Chennai-based company's president Rudratej Singh said, "Apart from the new colours from the 1950s, the 2017 Redditch series will feature the Royal Enfield Redditch monogram, first used in 1939 on the prototype of 125cc 'Royal Baby', a 2-stroke motorcycle. The use of the original monogram makes the series more special as it revives our association with the motorcycles produced out of Redditch (UK) in that era."

Don't Try This At Home!!ROYAL ENFIELD 350cc, "1962 Redditch Original" SOLD Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad�Redditch original 350 Enfield Lightly restored� Not concourse but shiny side of oily rag condition, with many new parts fitted, including forks, mudguards, seat, centre and side stand, clutch, front brake, spokes, rims etc. It�s not getting any younger, just steadily appreciating and spares available worldwide. This is an original six volt coil ignition model, fitted with a 1&1/8; The wiring is in good condition with English connectors and the ignition switch has been replaced and comes with two proper keys. Many of the nuts are stainless steel as is the rear brake rod. It has a "Thunderbird" twin leading shoe front brake which is new and needs bedding in, (the original single leading shoe brake wheel will be included in the sale if the buyer desires to go back to originality, as are a few other spares). It is fitted out with original controls and also the Royal Enfield neutral finder is fully functional.
