This is a DOT helmet and there has to be enough material between you and the road or it don’t work. The clasp is second to none and easy to use. I live in a state where there are no helmet laws so 90% of the time I don’t use one. We’ll I finally got one! I’m skeptical of buying anything like clothing shoes let alone a helmet on line. I went against that feeling and I’m glad that I did! The helmet is everything that the manufacturer and the hundreds of reviews say it is. I live in Maine so I’ve never worn a helmet in the 35 years of riding that I have under my belt. I bought the helmet to use when I go beyond New Hampshire (I’m basically stuck without a helmet beyond, including Canada. Well, I will be wearing it alot more than just on those long road trips. The bucket is light, comfortable and it fits perfectly. I’m one that doesn’t like a whole lot of “attached things” to my body when I ride. With this helmet I don’t even know it’s there.
