So after using this helmet almost daily, this is my review. If you're a Shoei person, get this helmet, it's great. If you're cautious about the price, shop around. I was hit from behind by a rider who was target fixated and was not paying attention. Went down relatively hard as I separated from my bike.

The two year old RF 1200 helmet I was wearing took the lions share of the impact and sliding damage. The helmet did it's job and I was able to walk away with no injuries. The RF 1200 is one great helmet. Very poorly made shrank 2 sizes so it doesn't fit anymore ... kind of sucks to waste money ... other shirts were the same way Donovan Oxford (Broken Arrow ) Everyone knows that Shoei makes great products and now I know that Motorcycle Superstore offers the same level of service. Back in the day, Henry The Brush was the man to call in the AMA paddock for race number painting and name lettering.

If Henry was painting your name on your fairings, you were "someone" on the grid and had reached the top of your game. Nowadays everyone uses decals for everything even going as far as to wrap the entire bike. It's always fun to restore something as it was originally intended right down to the hand-painted letters. Brush strokes are visible as well. If the work under the paint is not up to par, you will see it! Full 2007 HD Ultra with 20 parts, many repaired badly but redone properly with 2 clear stages and buffing. People who saw some of the other bag photos were confused, thinking it was a window. No, that is just the reflection of the open door behind me with someone's ZX-7 peeking back! This shot shows the ege of the bag and the towel.
