The club encourages the restoration and maintenance of historic, vintage and veteran motorcycles but also hosts activities including social rides, show and shine events and exhibitions which the general public can enjoy. A club motorcycle must be at least 30 years old: any bike up until 1986. Members have bikes ranging back to 1912 and everything in between.
The club also raises and donates money to charities which include the Queensland Cancer Council, prostate cancer and earthquake relief to name a few. At this year's Swap, the gates will open on the Saturday at 6am for sellers and vendors, then at 8am for buyers and the general public. The swap will trade all day until 6pm. Then the gates will open again on the Sunday at 6am and the swap will run until noon.The Swap boasts its own food court which will have a wide variety available, with the Maleny Lions Club being the main food provider.Swap sites cost $5 each for the weekend. Entry is $5, and Saturday night camping is $5 per person.Items for sale are restricted to "motorcycle-related” but this provides a wide cross-section - complete motorcycles, engines, gearboxes, frames, tyres, parts, accessories, riding clothes, books, photographs and paintings.
