Seen a lot of sites he wouldn't of been able to find on his own, throughly recommend this place So let me start by saying that the idea of touring a Hawaiian island on a BMW sports motorcycle sounds amazing!
The traffic and weather make it totally less than ideal, which may explain the lack of options for motorcycle rental there. I picked Big Kahuna because it was literally the only place I could find with the... Rented a Roadster and had a blast touring the Island. Bike was wonderful and the scenery amazing. Saw the "Eddie's" surfing! No words to describe that awesome experience. Downside - small gas tank and was not informed of mileage per tank. No bags with the bike for any storage (sunscreen, camera, sweater, etc). But a back pack was serviceable. We wanted to rent an Harley to go to the north of Ohau so we take the risk to rent where the price is the lowest. Formalities are simple and caution is with your credit card but only the paper print; No effective debit on your account ( $1000)…. it's important when your credit card is not debited because it... I had to get out and ride ....so went to big kahuna because it was close to my hotel...selection was ok.2 Harleys to choose from...fatboy and deluxe.
Bike was in a pretty average state for a recent model ..Back brakes were rattling..I checked them to find no spacer spring plates. Belt was near end of life... On sept 21 2015 me and my wife rented a Harley, the Sportsterc48, at Big Kahuna on Seaside av. Waikiki. When we arrived Larry's wife invited us in the shop and did the paperwork. She gave us a map and some very nice route suggestions. Then she took us around the Harley to explain everything and made pictures of me... $40 for motor scooter and helmet. ride around scenic whole island in several hours, fairly safe adventure Pick-up took a while mainly due to the amount of people hiring but every thing else was great, car was clean, no problems with the car during the hire and smooth drop off The freedom of the open road, no time table, no worries….. I was a little worried by a couple of the negative reviews, but not sure what place they went to, I was greeted by a amazingly nice woman. They apparently run the motorcycle, bike and snorkel gear place next to the convenience store.
