I have an appreciation for all motorcycles, but I have a soft spot for vintage Japanese bikes. My father was a motorcycle mechanic while attending college in the early 70s. Both father and my grandfather were both big influences on me and were riding Hondas when I was in elementary school. I have incredible memories of riding behind my dad on a new 1973 Honda CB 750 and my grandfather being ahead of us on his 1973 CB350F. In 1978 when I was old enough to get a motorcycle license I went from being his passenger to his riding buddy. My father, stepmother and I spent many hours riding around central Oklahoma on summer evenings. In the summer of 1980 we took our first motorcycle vacation. We rode about 2000 miles in a weeks time, dad on a 1979 Kawasaki KZ750 and me on a 1979 Honda Twinstar.
