I have used shinko brand on my klr650 and have not been disappointed. Been running shinko 777 on the front of my Vulcan 800 classic 10,000 miles now. Just replaced a Michelin on the back with a shinko 777. New Shinko felt a little slick and a little wobbly above 80 mph for the first 500 miles or so. Then it was fine. Rode it in pretty heavy rain last week and it was fine. I gave it 4 stars for stability because it took 500 miles or so to "knock the slick off." Also gave it 4 stars for tread life because it is fairly new and I don't how long it will last. However, I have been very happy with Shinko's on both my dual-sport and cruiser. Ride a 2010 roadking. Put about 8000 miles on it. Good all around tires. Not sure how people only get so low of miles. Getting ready to pay another. This tire is great for the money. I haven't had it long enough to see what the treadmill life is yet but as long as I get over 5,000 miles it's all I'll buy from now on!!!!!! shinko 777 130 90 16 rear tire
Handles great, corners well, I'm loving this tire so far. Now to wait and see how much mieage it can handle. Not to impressed by this tire. I only got about 4000 miles out of it. I guess you get what you pay for. To this point, I don't have a single complaint. Tire came in 3 days to my front door. Looked the tire over really well before mounting it and noticed the production date stating the tire was only 2 months old. It doesn't get better than that. 1000 miles so far and tire is smooth, stable and sticky in water so far. I purchases the shinko for the price. I got 8k miles from a tire that cost 60% more than this one. Time and mileage will tell if i made a good decision mileage wise. Performance wise i am sold on this tire The first time I ran Shinko 777 I put them on the Front and rear. I got 14,700 from the rear tire and 16,300 on the front. I installed a Michelin on the rear to compare the mileage and got 16,100 on the Michelin. I haven't noticed any difference in the handling with the Shinko tire.
For the difference in the price its a great deal.8000 miles I got out of the rear tire....18000 on the front tire....I will keep buying them.... (Pocono Mountains PA, PA) I've had these in the past front and rear. These have been awsome tires. They ride well and last longer than more expensive brands. I have run the Shinko 777 6ply on my 2015 FLHXS and find them to perform better than the stock Dunlops in wet and dry weather. I might add that I was very pleased with the 15.2K miles I optained as well but you just need to make sure you keep your air pressure where suggested. I am on my second set and will buy them again. Looked at my rear tire on my 08 FatBob, almost at the end of life. Thought darn I just replaced it; checked my records and noted that I had the tire for 8022 miles and it still has another 1 to 1.5k remaining. For the price, performance the 777 can not be beat. FYI, I ride distance and commute on the bike; it also has a Works suspension F and B.
I was happy to receive these tire so quickly, I got them within two days. I don't know how people in other reviews are caring for their tires that they are getting 2-5k out of them. I'm at 4.5k driving daily on a Honda shadow spirit 750. So far these tires ride as good or better than the stock tires, not my favorite for cornering though. Only got 4731 miles out of this Shinko-777 Rear Tire. versus Dunlops D-402's 11052. You get what you pay for. Milage dif is 6321. 2 Shinkos to 1 Dunlop. Plus the price of mounting. Shinko is NOT a good tire. Will never buy another one.
