Hello Boys and Girls.... Before you listen to this podcast I must warn you and I'm serious.....Today we did a live show from the Harley Rendezvous Swap Meet.  All went well and we had some wonderful guests.  Sadly, there was something wrong with the input levels and we did not learn about this until after the show was over. Everything appeared to be normal during the recording but it was to be otherwise.  What this means is that the podcast is severely distorted for most of the show.  It clears up at random spots throughout the show and it even went from person to person but mostly it was everyone.  Normally, we wouldn't release an episode like this but the interviews were so good and there were some really funny moments during the show that we couldn't just trash it so the decision was made to release it.  It can be listened to, it will be difficult at times but do you best and listen.  We apologize for the quality but sadly I fear that my trusty Zoom H4 Digital recorder may have recorded its last Podcast.

In other sad sad news.  The Motorcycle Men and the biker community lost a brother today.  Biker, fan and friend of the Podcast Jimmy Laico lost his battle with cancer and passed away earlier today.  He will be missed and honored. Starting in Los Angeles, Reedus explains that he moved there in the late nineties, his early 20's.

He was trying to figure himself out and found himself identifying with the rebels and then the bikers. He felt like he belonged for the first time and now he's lucky because he gets to ride motorcycles and kill zombies for a living. He's excited to be back for a ride on the Pacific Coast Highway. The two step inside and it's like a biker museum. Sands shows off some bikes which Reedus compares to Mad Max and zombie killing. They explore a few more parts of the shop, including the garage where Reedus sees the fleet of bikes. Reedus starts up a BMW bike and Sands rides Reedus' as they ride around Los Angeles. Sands pull off some wheelies and even stands up on the bike with no hands. motorcycle shops near wisbechThey stop on a coast and look out at the ocean as Sands previews PCH for him. Reedus is going to ride Sands' bike the rest of the way. Reedus heads to Imogen's and they meet outside of her shop. She is riding a custom Harley Dyna T-Sport. They head inside to see the shop. It's loaded with unique collectibles, bikes and even skeletons and real skulls. The two ride off down some Los Angeles streets as they start they're journey to PCH. Reedus reveals that he became an actor at the pizza place nearby.

97 miles from now, they'll be in Santa Barbara. They pop in to a place to stay for the night and plan out their day for tomorrow. The next morning, Norman and Imogen ride out. They head 104 miles north to Pismo Beach, riding through lots of country side and having trouble hearing one another. The views are fantastic. They arrive at Pismo Beach and walk out onto the beach, eventually going for a ride in some dune buggies. After watching a safety video, Reedus picks the fastest buggy and rides around with Imogen chasing him through the beach's dunes. Imogen gets stuck on a hill and Norman has to ride over to get her out. He even catches some air as they continue their riding. Norman wants to ride the dunes forever but has to get back on the road. Norman and Imogen ride north as the sun sets until arriving at what looks like an abandoned house but it's actually where they're staying. Mike emerges and introduces himself. He owns Nitt Witt Ridge and explains the history of it.

The handrails were the plumbing system. Toilet seats are used for picture frames. Mike bought the location from the Art Biel Foundation in 1999. The place was built with garbage by a garbage man. After the tour, Norman and Imogen ride out for a couple more miles to where they'll call it a night. The next day, their ride on the Pacific Coast Highway continues. They ride across the Big Sir bridge and eventually arrive in Santa Cruz. Reedus likes the way the air smells. He says it's the perfect spot to reinvent yourself. On their way to podcast, they stop to check out some electric bikes and Zero Motorcycles. They are shown the first electric motorcycle and listen to stories from the company's employees. Outside, Reedus and Imogen pick a couple of bikes for themselves. They are shocked to learn that a bike is learning despite not making any notice. They head out together, with Zero's Scott, and ride down some streets on the electric bikes. Later, Imogen pours some drinks and Norman puts on some jewelry with her.

Later in Santa Cruz, Norman and Imogen ride through some back roads with huge trees and rivers surrounding them. Their ride through the redwoods leads them to sport mode. After a day of riding together, Norman and Imogen get ready to head out as a Zero Motorcycles employee grabs Reedus and asks him to sign an important piece of Boondock Saints memorabilia for his late brother who was a big fan. Norman hugs him and happily signs for him. Norman and Imogen walk the streets of Santa Cruz and meets several fans in the street and even a director from The Walking Dead. Imogen reveals to Norman that her inspiration for riding comes from her late father. Finally, Norman and Imogen arrive the Recycle Garage for a the Motorcycles and Misfits podcast. Outside, Norman talks with the hosts about their bikes which are parked by the dozen. The podcast begins and the first question is about what type of motorcycle is the best for the zombie apocalypse. Reedus is hesitant to admit it but he thinks that one of the electric bikes would be the best fit to survive that world.
