I think these are more stylish and more comfortable than iron rangers, I normally wear wide but am able to fit into these. I do wish they had a removable insole but these style of boots almost always have sewn in leather. However I was able to fit the thinnest superfeet into this. They renegade tan color is not pebbled. My only small issue is that the right boot foot arch support seems a bit higher than the left...but maybe it's just that my foot has a shallower arch...not really sure. I like them so much I would get them again in a different color but I bout a pair of Red Wing Heritage boots in the brown/ox-blood at the same time as these (see my review) so I don't foresee myself buying any more boots in the next 10 years or so! I did not know exactly what I was getting when I bought Apache Lace Ups. Yes the leather was thinner then the Service boot. I would have liked a 12 E but I settled for the 12 EE instead. I had bought a 8" Apache lug in 11 1/2 D...worst mistake! I felt as if I was trying to put on a 11!

That would have been blister city in no time! I love my boots and shoes, I buy American made, or what passes for American made mostly. Each and every time I have ever tried on a China made shoe, or some such animal, I always need a 13 and even at that I have no room long ways or side ways.
