I needed a cheap pair of steel toed work boots in May 2016, so I thought why not. They are not my most comfortable boot; but they have saved my toes and heel from being injured in the three months I had them. The heel has seperated on one, and the stitcthing by the two has come out and I can put my finger in the hole. I will not buy another pair. Genuine Dickies JobRated Truxx Waterproof Work Boot is an excellent Boot. I used to buy the Herman Survivors Steel Toe Shoe, but found the Dickies a much solid shoe and much better quality. What I like most about the Truxx Boot is the SOLID SOLE. The sole doesn't bend easily. I'm 66, and weigh about 200 lbs. Many years ago I had issues with my feet, and a doctor recommended that I use boots or shoes that have a more solid sole, that does not bend easily. These Dickies JobRated Truxx filled the bill. I also use a Walk-Fit Platinum insert for even greater arch support right over the Cushion Support. I own 4 pair of these, and rotate them each day. I wear them all day, and use them for walking, maintaining my half acre of lawn, numerous gardens, house projects and general maintenance. I would highly recommend these boots. Because of my lean build, my feet are narrow, with high arches and a heavy instep. These boots are designed for average width, so they will fit most feet perfectly.

I will need a few months to break them in before they wrap around my feet. They are comfortable and rugged. That makes them an excellent choice for work, play and outdoor activities. They leave enough room to wear a pair of heavy socks over a pair of sport socks, just what I need for hiking and late Fall football practice at UNH. The soles are thick and have treads like a snow tire. They are water proof and oil and slip resistant, so they grip on all surfaces and in all weather conditions. My legs are my transportation. That says it all in a nut shell. The quality and price make these boots an outstanding bargain. I Love these shoes! I tried on three other work shoes and these shoes were the most comfortable. These shoes were also the best looking, I like the dark brown color. I like the cut of these shoes, they look like sneakers but are built like work boots. These shoes can be used for everyday wear because they are cut like sneakers. I like that there is an extra panel of some kind of really tough material on the back end of the shoe.
