Great fit, great helmet Fit exactly like I thought it would. Plenty of room speakers and the microphone attached with out a problem. It's a little costly compared to other helmets but we'll worth the money. Shoei RJ Platinum Helment. I already had one and I got my wife one for the few times she needs it. I believe it to be the best open face helmet available. Fortunately I have had to use it. I like it because it is better than the old Bell Magnum helmets I wore for over 10 years. I wish there were better color CHOICES! Just received my new Shoei RJ-Platinum-R today. I've had a Shoei helmet before and the quality is always top notch as expected. The peripheral vision on this helmet is great, and it's actually quieter than my Arai full-face helmet. Glasses/goggles fit under it with no problem. Shoei RJ Platinum R Helmet This is a very nice helmet. My helmet size varies with the manufacturer. Initially, I ordered an XL and found that it was too tight. So, I returned it and purchased a 2XL.

It's a much better fit, but a little too "airy" in the cheek pads. It would have been nice to be able to choose the cheek pad thickness that you wanted when you ordered the helmet. In the owners manual that came with the helmet, it does state that other thicknesses are available. I'll likely order the thicker cheek pad. Overall, a high quality helmet with good ventilation. Shoei RJ Platinum, Open Face Helemt Best helmet I ever put on. Ventilation vents are great as is the finish. The fit is perfect. The cost is a little high, but you get what you pay for. Very happy with this helmet. Be sure to put on glasses AFTER you have it on. Snug, but still the best fit. Shoei RJ Platinum helmet As a longtime motorcyclist, I appreciated the assistance of the Superstore Customer Service person I spoke with. Very knowledgeable and helped me get it right the first time. In addition, the product has lived up to my expectations. My helmet came with 39mm cheek pads. My old RJ had 35mm pads but I eventually had to change them to 31mm.

In the new helmet, I bought and added 33mm, although 35mm was my preference but for some reason they were not available. Motorcycle Superstore said they did not sell the pads so I had to buy from someone else. If only I had thought to ask "What cheek pads come with the size Large helmet?" I would have had more info to work with and would have kept looking elsewhere. Lightweight, stylish, comfortable, has it all This is a awesome 3/4 style helmet. Most 3/4 helmets look goofy. Shoei did a outstanding job with the visor that looks sporty. It gives the helmet a new sporty look. The Calif. Highway Patrol wears this helmet and I have always thought it looked sharp. It runs one size big however. I ordered a Lrg. based on the Shoei sizing chart. Returned it for a med. and fit was perfect. I only wear Arai and Shoei helmets. Both are proven winners in safety, style & light weight. Bought this helmet to replace my Shoei full face helmet for the Florida heat in the summer.

This is not to say I do not like it because I do, and will buy another when the time comes, and will use Motorcycle Superstore again. I bought two of these to replace the Shoei RJ Airs we have been wearing for about ten years. The old Shoei's were great helmet's but the Platinum has far better air vents and a removable liner to boot.
