I have shared her family's post below, of her passing. It carries a perfect message with it, and our deepest sympathies are with them. She loved her bike, she loved trails and she always rode with a huge smile on her face, with a kind, encouraging word for everyone. Her courage in the face of her diagnosis, her zest for life and the peace that always seemed to surround her will live on as we remember her and carry her spirit with us always.Wendy died peacefully this afternoon about 1 pm. Our hearts are broken, but we will continue to live. Wendy's example of making the most of her days since she knew she had cancer will inspire us to make the most of our days, even without her. Please take a moment to help out our North Thompson neighbours get some awesome new trails built for all to enjoy! Feel free to share with others. The Outdoor Club in Clearwater has built 5 km of great single track in the last year. We are pursuing funding to put in another 25 km plus of trail at a cost of approximately $250,000. In order to complete one of our larger grant applications we need data regarding local and potential out of tow...n users. If we can demonstrate that a network like this will be used by locals and out town visitors we will have a better chance of securing funding. One of our arguments is that a network like this will attract riders and spin off economic benefits to local businesses.
