Located at the base of Blackcomb Mountain in the Daylodge, guests can also pick up their Season Pass and EDGE Cards at the sale to ensure they are ready to go as soon as the mountains are open.
“The Turkey Sale was started as an early season ski and snowboard sales event, a way to connect with Whistler Blackcomb’s guests before the snow flies,” says Josh Buchanan, Merchandise General Manager at Whistler Blackcomb. “Now, the legendary Turkey Sale has become a Whistler institution, a pre-season ritual where everyone, from kids to grandparents, can gear up for the winter.” This year, Whistler Blackcomb is collaborating with Ski Heaven, a local company with a mission to eliminate winter sports equipment from landfills. Ski Heaven has taken in 300+ pieces of ski waste from Whistler Blackcomb’s 2015.2016 rental fleet with the intention of upcycling it to create original art pieces. Ski Heaven will have a booth at the Turkey Sale in the Whistler Mountain Ski Club SWAP tent, offering a variety of small merchandise for purchase as well as booking commission projects.
