1,106,302 kms / 687,424 miles of motorcycle ridesSearch (Log In) | A motorbike 'ride-out' will be staged in Barnstaple next month to protest against the sentence of a drug-driver who crashed into and killed Barnstaple biker Aiden Platt.Last month the Journal revealed that driver Laura Ward was spared jail because she became pregnant and has had a baby during the 18 months since the crash in Barnstaple in August, 2015.Ward was under the influence of cannabis and diazepam and had traces of amphetamine in her system when her car sideswiped 20-year-old Aiden Platt.However, she walked free from court with a 20-month suspended prison sentence, four-month curfew and a driving ban. In response to what they see as a lenient sentence, the North Devon biking community, with the support of Aiden's family, have arranged for a mass protest ride-out which will start at Pottington Business Park at 11am on Saturday, March 11.The event has been organised on Facebook and on the event page it states: "As I'm sure you will all agree
