Start Your Adventure Now > “The best hard-core saddlebag and tank-bag solution we’ve found is from Giant Loop…. There are cheaper solutions to carrying stuff, but these American-made pieces have been over mountains and across deserts with no issues.” —Cycle World Magazine, November 2015 Dead solid stable, super rugged and lightweight, Giant Loop’s motorcycle saddlebags, panniers, tank bags, dry bags and adventure motorcycle packing systems enable riders to undertake the most extreme adventures around the world. Giant Loop’s adventure motorcycle packing systems shave pounds of metal from adventure touring motorcycles compared to typical motorcycle hard luggage systems. By positioning weight closer to the center of the bike, our packs instantly improve off-road handling and performance. Our unique “biomorphic” design wraps the load around the motorcycle subframe, placing it exactly where engineers intended for bikes to carry weight. This means few cracked and broken subframes — as well as eliminating broken mounting hardware, racks, subframes and bent up boxes.

Every stitch and seam of Giant Loop’s made-in-USA product line represents years of testing and development by real dirt bike, dual sport and adventure touring motorcycle riders over thousands of miles in the most demanding conditions. Welcome to the freedom of ultra-lightweight, self-supported, dirt, dual sport, adventure touring and sport bike motorcycle touring. motorcycle shop in silverlake Touratech’s company history shows some parallels with ORTLIEB’s story: the first Touratech products were designed because of personal need – similar as ORTLIEB’s beginnings, when a product was made out of personal requirements and simply because it was not yet existing.

Touratech founder Herbert Schwarz designed the motorcycle computer IMO 200T and built himself some motorcycle aluminum cases. Hartmut Ortlieb made waterproof bicycle panniers of truck tarp for his bicycle trip. Today both companies can look back onto an impressive story of success. For both companies “Quality Made in Germany” is an important issue, and both unite all divisions from product design to production, distribution and marketing at their company headquarters in Germany.

Available in Black,Orange, or Gray 100% waterproof (Radio Frequency Welded Seams) Mounting and Removal Video I do some camping and put on about 15,000 miles a year on two wheels and was tired of my stuff being wet. It's a little hard loading it at times but I love it. Great bag to carry light weight bulky item. Attaches easy to your bike.gear is accessible without removing bag. I submerged this bag in several rivers in Alaska and otherwise abused it horribly. It took it all and never failed me. Recent purchase - only used 2X so far on dry rides. Seems overpriced for thickness of materials. Not completely rigid - plastic liner will flex under load, so check clearance on fenders and saddlebags to avoid paint damage if bag is not fully supported by a rack or seat. Holds a week's worth of big and tall man clothes - pack corners first due to narrow opening. Loop straps work well on a FLHP rack for long rides, but bungees are more convenient if you need to remove quickly and/or frequently.

Only gave (3) stars due to price, flex under load, and yet TBD durability. I bought this as a tail bag so I can remove my side cases around town and for touring. Compares very well to the competition and is large enough to stash all of my riding gear. It is well made and appears very durable. Fitting it to the bike takes a little trial and error but it is a simple process. My only complaint is the same as other reviewers, the opening is way too small. Yes I can fit my full face helmet inside but the opening makes it a bit of a struggle, especially if the bag is already partially full. Twisted Throttle, you have a great product here, but you lose a star due to the small opening. That said, would I buy it again? I may even add the side bags as an alternative to my hard cases. Just got it and haven't used it yet- looks like it will be just right for the rack on my Indian RoadmasterDoes everything I need for traveling Excelent product, easy to install and great capacity

I've tried a lot of different bags like this one and the D-38 beats them all. Good looks and performance makes it the best in class. I bought the orange colored dry bag and I took it with me on my fall trip to Deals Gap this year. Very easy to attach to the rear of my FJR1300. It holds a lot of clothes and other equipment. I am very satisfied with this purchased. I may get one of the medium sized dry bags to attach to the top of this large bag. The bag is waterproof and will keep your items dry. Highly recommend this item for anyone traveling. Sold my Givi hard bags and bought this as part of the D78 set. I love this bag, the size is perfect for most things. Yes the opening is a little tight due to the nature of the bag and the limitations that the bag stiffening insert create, but it is very manageable if you load the ends first with smaller items. It is stiff enough that it can be strapped to the rear pillion seat without the need for a rear rack. I leave this one attached most of the time as I commute to work 5 days a week rain or shine and it makes the perfect trunk, if I happen to stop in a place that i don't want to leave it behind then it is much nicer to carry around as a duffel than a hard case would be.

The majority of my use is daily commute including 50 miles and a ferry ride salt spray and all, but it also gets some sport touring and adventure rides. I love this bag. Rigid bottom is great for keeping its shape. Strap system works great, very durable! I would recommend this bag. I rode the Colorado back country discovery route late july. This bag sustained some punishment. We got stuck in nearly 18 hours of torrential down pour and not one leak into the bag. I held a tent, sleeping bag, my cozy liner, little pillow, sleeping pad, little chair, camp towel and toiletries for 8 days in this sucker and nothing got wet! The only issue I had the bag was that one of the pockets came off and the other is starting too peel off as well. The guys at twisted offered to replace the bag at no charge, i declined due to the inability to use said pocket when the bag is stuffed to the gills. I also enjoyed the mounting system that came with the bag simple easy it was nice to free up my other straps for hauling wood and beverages during the trip.

I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a streamline waterproof bag. Purchased specifically for 6k trip to South Dakota and the midwest. Though not a tremendous amount of rain, it keeps all dry when it does pour. As mentioned before, really is a puzzle at times to pack this bag. The opening is narrower and shorter than the bag so hard to get items in the corners. Would be an easy 5 star rating except no directions with the straps. We never did figure out their loop system and used Kreiga straps and rope to secure it. Even googled the issue but did not come across the strap system. I bought this bag before my trip and it really worked well. There were times I thought it too big but it fit really well on the back of my 2014 Yamaha Super Tenere ES. The side pockets are to small for anything other than a card. I was very concerned about the mounting strap system but it worked very well I think that one of these mounting straps will be the first thing to break. Can replacement straps be purchased?
