The Metro is dual homologated as both a full face and an open face design which is a rarity among modular helmets. The chin bar has four removable plates that cover large intake vents, and removing them gives you ventilation similar to an MX helmet. The shield is optically correct and comes with LS2 FogFighter fog resistant insert lens for the maximum in fog prevention and is scratch/UV resistant and changed quickly and easily with the tool-less quick change system.
The Metro uses LS2's Twin Shield System drop down sun shield that is cable-operated for a smooth, and easy to use operation, even with a gloved hand. The removable, washable comfort padding uses breathable technical fabric and is easy to keep as fresh as new. It’s strong, lightweight and does a great job of dispersing energy. Full Metal Latch and Mechanism The mechanism in the 386A is made of metal, not the plastic you find on some other modular helmets. Metal pins and a metal fastener are the best way to secure the chin bar and that’s the way we do it at LS2. The mechanism meets both DOT and ECE standards. When you open the chin bar, be sure to push it all the way up. You’ll feel a small “click” as you pass the detent when it is wide open. This allows the chin bar to stay up and out of your way, without risk that it will close unexpectedly. PLEASE NOTE: Modular helmets are intended to be used only in the closed position when riding. Open position is for when you are at a stop. Flip-Up Designed with the Rider in Mind The LS2 FF386A was designed with the motorcycle rider in mind. The last thing you need when you are riding is to have to “think” about how your helmet operates. The large front tab on the chin bar makes for a natural “pinch” motion to raise and lower the chin bar.

Easy to Use Top Vent Just like all the controls on the FF386A, the two stage top vent is easy to find and easy to operate. Press down to open and slide the button at the back of the vent rearward to close. Optically Correct Shield The shield on the FF386A is optically correct, and it can be removed using our tool less Radial Quick Release knobs. A quarter turn forward and the knobs come free making it a snap to replace your shield. Knobs are designed specifically for the right and left sides, so please be sure to use the correct side when reinstalling. Full Eclipse Drop Down Sun Shield One of the most popular features of the FF386A is the Full Eclipse Drop Down Sun Shield. A simple flip of the lever and you can lower the shield for addition protection against the sun, while the push of a button allows it to spring up and out of the way. Very nice helmet, many features not found on cheaper helmets runs a little small Even though the helmet fits properly, I still get a headache on a long trip. the one thing i do not like is that if you turn your head while going more than 20mph it gets noisy. buts its an easy fix. it also has room to install bluetooth or headphones.
