Great handling in corners, and great wear. I usually get 6,000-7,000 mile on these tires. Will not use anything else on this bike. Have been using the Road 2's for a while, front and back. Just replaced my rear with another Road 2 at 10k miles. Probably still had a little bit of life (1k-2k) but decided to replace before that as handling was starting to go, could really feel it on tar snakes at highway speeds. These are the best tires I have bought for my VFR 800.
They are the fist and only dual compound tires I have tried however when you find something that works great there is no need to look at anything else. bobber motorcycle for sale in michiganWhat can I say that anyone else has not said already. motorcycle clothing stores swindonI get about 6000 miles on my rears compared to 2500 - 3000 out of other normal tires I have used. gta iv motorcycle jumpsI am hard on a rear tire. stingray motorcycle jacketFronts go much farther closer to 2 to 1 ratio.stingray motorcycle jacket
Very pleased with purchasemotorcycle shops near crawley Got this tire as a replacement when I bought my bike (so it would pass inspection). Couldn't be happier with the durability and grip. Cornering is an ease and traction feels great. Commuter when the weather permits and the tread doesn't show any wear yet. (Had it installed for roughly 3 months. I'd definitely recommend this tire. Can't be beat for price I've ran a lot of different sort touring tires, and just can't beat the miles per dollar for these tires. I was hoping for ~12,000 miles on them on my fz1, but got over 16,000 miles and no cords showing!!! Thrilled to say the least! These tires have never let me down. This is my second set on the fz1, and I put a couple sets on my old fz6. And while the majority of my miles are commuting, they are quite hard miles, and the weekend romps are not light hearted. No chicken strips on these guys :)
Road 2 for FZ1 This is the second Pilot Road 2 I have bought and I am completely satisfied with these tires. I went to this tire due to the lifespan of usual sport bike tires being so low. I got 6k miles out of the first one so I was pretty pleased as I only got 3k out of the Metzler I had before. Great tire with great grip just takes a minute to warm up. Will definitely buy again. This is my second set of Pilot Road 2's and I really like the stability and wear of the tire. I thought about going to the Road 3, but I felt the last set was perfect so why ruin a good thing. At 13500 miles, its just about done Two seasons and 13,500 miles and I've just hit the wear bars. I'll be getting the improved PR3's to replace it. But I've been more than happy with how this tire runs. Not sure what to make of the reports of folks only getting 5K miles on these. Aint no chicken strips on my tires, so I don't baby them. Perhaps it's because of the nice smooth roads we have here on the west coast.
Good Value for the $ This tire has given me long life (15K) on the rear of a C14. It's time for another. Handling does degrade towards the end of tread life. Still a good value for the money. The new PR2 needed no balance weights. Delivery took two days after order arriving before I could tell the wife. Er, good job Motorcycle Superstore. Excellent traction and handling. Also lasts almost twice as long as other tires I have used. Great tire super shipping This will be my second PR2 on the rear my 09 Concours 1400. The first one lasted for 15,000 miles on a heavy but powerful machine. After dumping the OEM tires, it did not matter if I was solo or two up and loaded down. These tires made a huge difference in handling capabilities of the bike. Confidence building in the turns became the norm. Shipping is unbelievably fast. I ordered on Monday and they arrived on Wednesday. Not even enough time for me to warn the bride I used the Credit Card. Tire didn't last long
I have a 05 BMW RT 1200. I got 6,000 miles on the back and front tire and they are now junk. Will not buy these tires again. The Best All Around Tire This is my third rear Pilot Road 2s. I never consider buying any other tire. Great all around tire for my SV 650. I commute 30 miles one way to work so durability and longevity are important but this tire also has great cornering. I can't say enough about the Pilot Road 2. (El Dorado Hills, CA) I switched to this tire from a Bridgestone and couldn't be more happy. I was able to honestly give it 5 stars in every category because I was able to test it in every one. It is very, very grippy. It inspired a lot of confidence and handled perfectly. My wife and I were on a mountain ride when it started to downpour on us. I never felt it slip, get squirrely or anything. The tread life is really good as well. I commute down the interstate quite a bit with a loaded top case on the FZ1, and take it for spirited twisty rides on the weekend and I am just about to hit the wear bars at 7k miles.
