Does anyone know a used bike shop where we could buy some bikes to use and then donate/leave at the end of the trip? We are also going to try Craigslist but it might be easier without a car just to go to one place and buy a couple of bikes. We are staying by the Audobon park. Thanks for you help! I'm sure there is some place closer to where you are staying, but I'm not aware of it. I do know of Bywater Bikes, though (3917 Royal St.), which often has bicycles in the $50-ish range. It's basically a guy having a workshop in his garage, so I'd recommend contacting him in advance, as he doesn't have regular hours.
