Construction takes about 12 months, said Tanger Outlets CEO Steven Tanger. "As momentum for this exciting project continues to build in the coming months, we look forward to sharing further details on our anticipated timeline."Tanger may also be hedging on his start time because there’s a competing project trying to get built by Fort Worth-based Woodmont Land Co.The Outlets at Alliance, a proposed 580,000-square-foot mall near Interstate 35W and Cabela Drive in north Fort Worth is too close for both projects to get built.Both projects have come before the Fort Worth City Council which has offered incentive funds capped at $20 million raised from sales taxes, according to a report in the Fort Worth Star Telegram. The proposed Tanger center will house 70 brand stores. So far, Tanger has signed leases with Nike, Levi’s, Banana Republic, Gap, Old Navy, Express, Skechers, Carter’s and Oshkosh.The shopping center is expected to employ 400 full-time and part-time workers during the construction phase.

More than 900 jobs are expected to be created after the center opens.Champions Circle includes several projects designed to extend the time of a trip to the race track. The development is 18 miles north of downtown Fort Worth at the intersection of Interstate 35W and State Highway 114.Several additions have already been built or have been announced including a Marriott Hotel, conference center and golf club, Buc-ee’s Travel Center, the 137-unit Churchill Apartments and the 700-unit Gray Dove Apartments.The development will have more retail space. The Champions Shopping Center will have an additional 540,000 square feet of space for free-standing stores and restaurants.Tanger operates one other outlet center in North Texas, in Terrell. It tried to open one in Irving several years ago, but that proposal was dropped.Tanger will be giving Simon Properties Group some new competition. Simon owns Grapevine Mills, and the Premium Outlets in Allen and Grand Prairie.When developers stopped building malls, they turned to outlet centers and moved them closer into major cities.

Between Sisters and Redmond, Oregon you'll find popular dirt bike trail riding and a staging area with access to miles and miles of high desert terrain off Buck Horn Rd behind the Eagle Crest Resort called Cline Butte recreation area. There's even a small motocross track near the gravel pit area. If you head north toward Madras to the Henderson Flat OHV area you'll experience 18 miles of much steeper terrain in the Crooked River Grasslands. The views are spectacular, and the trails can be fairly narrow. This area can be closed to trail riding from time to time due to migrating animals. If you're into motocross track riding, you'll find the Madras Speedway offering a public track in Central Oregon.
