Located in Frenchtown New Jersey, WTR specializes in restoration and repair of classic British sports cars as well as high performance modification of Lotus Elise, Exige and Evora automobiles. Bill has spent his entire career in the automotive industry on both the retail and manufacturer sides of the business.  He was a professional new-car dealership automotive technician for 13 years prior to becoming a Technical Representative for Nissan North America’s Infiniti Division.  After 6 years and many rewarding positions with Nissan Motor Corporation he then spent the next 5 years with Ferrari/Maserati North America as a Technical and Business Operations Manager.  Bill resigned from Ferrari in 2005 to launch his dream; Bill is also an avid motorcycle enthusiast and enjoys driving his Lotus Exige 255 Cup car on the track.

His enthusiasm for the automotive lifestyle prompted the creation of “Performance Garage Club”. From an early age, Kurt loved anything with wheels that could go fast. He got his first dirt-bike for his 7th birthday; He’s a true aficionado and has always enjoyed working on motorcycles and cars.  Kurt’s interest in vehicles and attention to detail eventually lead him to aircraft restoration.  Later, Kurt’s meticulous craftsmanship and entrepreneurial spirit prompted him to open his own motorcycle restoration and custom building business, American Custom Cycle.  In the meantime, Kurt’s passion for conveyances continued, and he began collecting cars.  He first purchased a ‘56 MGA and met Bill Thomas as a customer of William Thomas Roadsters. When Kurt learned of Steve and Bill’s idea for the Performance Garage Club, he couldn’t resist helping them get the business started.  This then spurred the purchase of a 2001 Caterham.  Now he has a place to put it. 

Soon after starting the business, Bill and Steve asked Kurt to become a partner.  The rest is history.
