This tank pad fit my bike great and was very easy to apply, it looks clean and gets the job done.I have a 2001 Aprilia Falco, very pleased this is the best tank guard you can buy for the price. I forgot about how you have to keep pressure on it to get it to stay. after doing this and spending lots of time doing so, the edges continued to peel off. believe it or not they both blew off leaving the decal stickers only on the tank.
At the end of the track day i was able to walk the track and found both pieces. plan on returning these. there has to be a better adhesive. It's a great product! But if you ever ride in shorts make sure the shorts will be covering the part of your knees that will come in contact with the grips because they have left scrapes and scratches on my knees from where my legs slid down the grips. Good product that fit well. I bought this for my bf to put on his BMWsrr1000. He put the large clear pieces on easily and didn't want the small black pieces that came with it. He saw it could fit perfectly on my kawasaki ninja 250 right where my upper thighs are placed when I'm riding. So it looks awesome on his bike and on mine. We took it out for a ride through the lake and turning and leaning was a breeze! Takes pressure off your hands...More secure in the saddle and less pressure off of your hands. Elegant and cool product. The pads were cut to fit, easy to install and really hold your legs so you don't slide around.
Mark the placement of the pads, heat the pads and tank and slowly apply like a decal. The pads do make it slightly difficult to stand up (over bumps or tracks) but the grips really works. All excellent but pricy Black grips look great on my ZX6R. Had no problem installing them and they adhere nicely (they recommend waiting at least a day before riding). Do the job on track days. But $50 for two pieces of rubber?!? Don't second guess, buy it No, I am not working for the company and making this review just to make $, this is really good product! Putting it on a bike can be a little tricky but it is not really hard. Using a heat gun would help. I didn't have one so I just did it as it is. Good grip, not uncomfortable even when driving in shorts. Not a bad way to spend $. Adds a new level of control to your bike. You'll wonder why you didn't install them sooner. When these wear out I will purchase them again. Don't ride without them Great product and have them on all my sport and race bikes.
