Free Cycle Rider Safety Training Program (CRSTP) classes are offered for beginning and experienced riders at more than 50 locations throughout Illinois. These courses are supported by Public Act 82-649, the Cycle Rider Safety Training Act, and are administered through the Illinois Department of Transportation, Division of Traffic Safety and four major educational institutions. This University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign site provides information for CRSTP courses throughout region C on the map to the right. For information on courses in regions A, B, or D, contact the Regional Training Center for that area. You must be an Illinois resident to register. Students attending Illinois schools, military personnel (and their families) stationed in Illinois are considered Illinois residents for the purposes of enrolling in these classes. In order to satisfy the needs of the community, Neutral Cycle now offers two kinds of rental programs Visitors from out of town, only staying briefly, should check out the regular bike rental to meet your needs. It’s a worry-free, fast, and safe solution to get around the town. If you are in town only during the summer, our summer bike rental is for you. You will be able to ride a brand new bike and all maintenance will be free during the program. Let’s see what we can do for you. Lights, Helmets and U-locks are provided at the rental location. Government or Student ID and a credit card are required for the rental. Rentee will be responsible for covering costs due to damage of the bike.
