Come into our shop to see more (but note, these bikes are not fixed on demand). We accept donations of bicycles, parts, tools and other accessories during open shop hours. We do not do pick ups. Donation receipts are available for tax write-off purposes. Donating a bike reduces landfill waste, helps us fix other bikes, and bring positive energy to communities in need. We always need good mechanics, but if you’re willing to learn or willing to help out in other ways, we’ll work something out. After readying two bikes for sale (or volunteering in other tangible ways) a volunteer may begin putting their hours towards earning a bike. Time is deducted from the price of the bike at a rate of $8/hr. Volunteers are limited to one bike per year. Think you can’t fix a bike? We beg to differ. Come in and prove yourself wrong. We take a white-gloved approach to fixing your bike. Volunteers can help explain how to fix your bike, but it’s up to you to do the work.
DIY stands are available first-come/first-served. Toolbox rental is $5 and stand rental is free. We retain the right to limit stand time as our needs evolve. We give away bikes to youth 8 and under anytime we’re open during the 1st through the 8th of the month. We only give away bikes that have been given a proper safety check by a qualified mechanic. We also fix bikes for youth (pending time and volunteer availability). We try to keep our hours as consistent as possible, but since this is a volunteer-based operation we cannot guarantee open hours.
