used tomahawk motorcycle for sale

Click above for high-res gallery of the Tomahawk knock-off Back before Chrysler was bought by Cerberus, you could always count on the automaker to roll out something truly special at the Detroit Auto Show. Whether by stampeding an entire herd of cattle through downtown Detroit or putting motorcycle bits all around the V10 engine of a Viper, Dodge has always found a way to capture people's attention. The Viper-inspired Tomahawk motorcycle was especially memorable. It seems that some are still miffed that Dodge never offered the fabled bike as a regular production machine, though a few were in fact created and sold as non-runners. Now a company (or companies, who knows?) in China has decided to offer a motorcycle based on the design of Dodge's original concept. We should stress that this is in no way a replica, as the original V10 engine has been replaced by a single cylinder 150cc engine and CVT transmission from a scooter. It's not street legal and also cannot be sold in California.

As with all small-bore motorcycles and scooters coming from China with questionable origins, we really cannot recommend you purchase one for yourself with visions of riding it to work. If you just want to see it in your garage though, it'll surely work as a rolling sculpture quite nicely.ADDITIONAL IMAGES & VIDEOS RELATED PRODUCTSRazor MX650 Dirt Rocket Electric Motocross Bike - $489.00Airbrushed Predator Motorcycle Helmet - $850.00Hot Wheels Dodge Tomahawk - $0.78Dodge Tomahawk Fabric Wall Scroll - $29.99Garmin Zumo GPS Motorcycle Navigator - $649.99 Technically, Dodge debuted its Tomahawk, a motorcycle with 4 wheels, a Dodge Viper engine, and top speed capabilities of 420 mph, a decade ago at the 2003 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Really though, with its concept-only status, denial of street legal classification, and inability (or unwillingness) to demonstrate speeds above 100 mph, it's more like they debuted it in their dreams. And now, for the bargain price of half a million dollars, you and I can have one of these unofficial dream machines--seemingly one of only 9 produced--for our own!

Note, however, that Dodge would like us to designate the Tomahawks "rolling sculptures" and promise not to ride them. If my friend Cornelius and I got our hands on a 4-wheeled motorcycle with a 500 hp, 8.3-litre, V10 SRT10 engine, I don't care if there was a 72% chance it would spontaneously combust or mutate us into giant perambulating replicas of Madonna's crotch, there's no way on this deteriorating, polluted, globally warmed green earth that we wouldn't head straight to the desert

motorcycle repair bedford va Sensation seeking is a bona fide personality trait thought to have a strong genetic component. The Sensation-Seeking Scale measures a person’s readiness to take risks for the sake of experiencing stimulation. A look at recently designed concept motorcycles and the people who ride them reveals a subculture of talented, thrill seeking, adventuresome, nonconformists who crave not only speed but speed with style.

First up is the Dodge Tomahawk capable of speeds up to 420 mph and an acceleration of 0 to 60 miles an hour in 2.5 seconds. The estimated top speed was never tested and was based on horsepower and drive ratio but ignored wind resistance, drag and rolling resistance; some experts predicted that without proper streamlining a rider would be lifted off the bike like a kite at about 200 miles an hour. The Tomahawk carries a 500 hp 8.3-liter the 10 SRT 10 engine which was designed for the SRT Viper sports car. Having four wheels instead of two the Tomahawk is actually a quadricycle. Each Dodge Tomahawk was handbuilt and offered for sale at $550,000. Nine Tomahawks were sold to the public. Next, the Lamborbike, created by 3-D designer Flavio Andriani, is a sleek futuristic chopper superbike inspired by the Lamborghini automobile and incorporates Osmos Hubless Wheels and a elegantly curved surreal frame. Finally the Bousouzoku of Japan are a youth subculture somewhat representative of worldwide speed fanatics.
