Union and Confederate Camps, Buckskinner and Trader Camps, 1800′s era working Blacksmith, Indian Camp with 18 foot tepee, Indian Fry Bread Taco and Food Stand, Viking Encampment, WWII Camp, Medieval and Renaissance Society Encampment and much more! Historic tours of Nye Avenue and Barnard Park are also available. The Shadows of Fremont” Haunted Sites Tours will make a comeback in 2016. Check the Schedule of Events for times. Tickets are required for the tours. You may obtain them by stopping by our offices beginning July 1. Arts, crafts, face painters, and a wide variety of Vendors fill John C. Fremont City Park. The vendor spaces are sold out for 2016. Join us for homemade root beer, kettle corn, and a variety of events in the park throughout the weekend!
The parade is a big hit on Sunday! Thousands line Main Street as local dignitaries, armed services, community groups and businesses share candy, water and their message with the community! Arrive early to secure a spot! The parade beings at 1:30. The entry dealine for the parade is July 1. We cannot accept entries after that date. Fremont Days! Select from a 2 or 5 mile option. Entry information for 2017 will be available soon. Online registration will be available in the spring. Complete results for the 2016 Ridge Road Run may be found here. The Co-ed Sand Volleyball Tournament is held in Clemmons Park. A limited number of teams can be accepted. Results from the 2016 tournament will be posted soon! The Rodeo will be held Friday July 8th & Saturday July 9th at Christensen Field beginning at 7:30pm.
You will see some of the top cowboys in the country matched against the top stock in the Midwest. Events will include: Bareback Riding; Bull Riding, Bull Fighting and Muttin Bustin’. Adults $13.00 in advance or $15.00 at the gate. Children and under may enter without charge. 1st Place – Holly Stout Face painting, live chess, painting, balloons, concessions and much more! Join the hundreds of kids having a great time from 9:00 until 1:00 Saturday! All events are free, and the concessions, provided by First Baptist Church, are very reasonably priced. 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. Friday evening for students including upcoming 5th grade through 8th grade at Splash Station, Fremont’s Family Fun Pool. The pool will be open for swimming. No Pool passes accepted. (This is a lock in. Once in, students cannot leave before 9:30p.m. Hosted by Friends of Fremont Area Parks. Registration starts at 9:00 a.m. and Pull begins at 10:00 a.m. for ages 4-12, Midland University Parking lot 9th & Clarkson Street.

The 2016 winners may be found here. 8:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. Saturday High Schoolers bowl for FREE, including shoe rental for upcoming 9th – 12th graders at Thirty Bowl, 1205 E. 23rd Street. Sponsored by Thirty Bowl. Registration begins the last day of school in May. Check back here for the official date. The entry fee is $10 and you must register in person at VW Photography. Business hours are Monday-Friday 10:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. You will be given further information when you register. There is NO JUDGING for this pageant. The winner & runner-up are drawn at random. We are also seeking costume donations or costume loans. If you’ve had a child in the pageant in the past and no longer have use for your costume, please let us know.
